Victor Voitov

Independent jazz producer who owned a jazz club in 2000s Moscow, supported the Russian translation of Ashley Kahn’s “Kind of Blue: The Making of the Miles Davis Masterpiece,” and produced several recordings for Russian jazz artists, including the critically acclaimed “Aspiration” by the Soviet jazz veteran saxophonist Alexander Pischikov who currently resides in Berlin, which featured Alex Sipiagin, Hans Glawischnig, Gene Jackson, and several prominent Russian jazz musicians (ArtBeat Music, 2013.) He also produced the International Jazz Forum in Moscow— the 2014 festival which celebrated the 50th anniversary of John Coltrane’s groundbreaking “A Love Supreme.” Victor’s current plans include “Berlin-Moscow Jazz Bridge,” a Russian-German jazz festival which will feature a wide array of jazz projects from Russia and Germany.
